A bit of Black Bull history 🐂 The Black Bull has been part of Morpeth for generations, standing proudly on Bridge Street and welcoming locals and visitors through its doors. The old black and white photo dates back to when George Forsyth was running the pub. At the time, The Black Bull also operated as a posting stable, providing horses and carriages for travellers and mail services passing through the town. If you look closely, you can see George Forsyth’s name displayed around the bow window in the photo. The bow window has always been one of the building’s most distinctive features and remains a recognisable part of the pub today. It’s fascinating to see how much has changed over the years, while The Black Bull has remained a constant part of the town. 🤩
